To mention Freire is to place ourselves in a record of three victories in the road world championships. And that is a table only shared by Alfredo Binda, Eddy Merckx, Rik Van Steenbergen and Peter Sagan.
The Adrenaline Aero, MMR's high aerodynamic performance model with great visual presence, manages to extend its aesthetic impact with the finish chosen by Javier Gonzalez, MMR's art director.An MMR design based on "a darkened chrome with reminiscences of trends from past decades.
The final finish is embelished by the combination with black, which gives it connotations of exclusivity and moderation".
Going even deeper, "the monochromatic combination is contrasted with a rainbow flag in saturated colours, an element which, although classic, is the undisputed protagonist of the design and of Óscar Freire's own career".
A project that took 4 months, between the MMR headquarters in Avilés and the Muse Bikes studio in Madrid, responsible for the hand-painting of this Adrenaline Aero.
The customized Adrenaline Aero for Óscar Freire was configured with the Dura-Ace Di2 R9270 groupset, Shimano Dura-Ace C50 wheels, Hutchinson Fusion tires with 28mm profile, Vision Metron Aero ACR handlebar, FSA ACR 110mm stem and Selle Italia SRL saddle.
Freire was an active contributor to Shimano's product development and one of the first to test Dura-Ace Di2 technology. Shimano's headquarters in Madrid has the privilege of housing the bike that was the protagonist of one of his victories in the road world championships.
